Sid Guglielmino – A brief history
After completing a Diploma of Design at Melbourne’s Phillip Institute of Technology (now RMIT) in 1978, Sid started his career as an Art Director for Darcy MacManus & Masius Advertising working on a variety of accounts including Toyota, Mobil, Milk, Malvern Star and The Australian Liberal Party.
After travelling through Europe and a brief stint as an Art Director on a Television mini series, Sid moved to Brisbane in 1985 and continued his Advertising career at Masius, Coudrey Advertising, Joint Venture/Mattingly and Chiat Day Mojo. He then established his own Graphic Design studio serving local advertising agencies and direct clients.
Guglielmino Design Co. (GDC) operated for over 17 years and serviced a wide range of local, national and international clients including Griffith University, Queensland Gas Company, QR, Cardno and RACQ.
In the last few years, Sid also lectured in Graphic Design and Communications at Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Creative Industries.
On 1 March 2010, GDC was merged with Rowland and Sid joined took on the role as their Creative Director. Check out his CV and the new Creative Portfolio site showcasing their work.
On 30 January 2012, Sid returned from a five month sabbatical in Paris and is now back at work at Rowland.
