Peter, thanks for the nice comment.
What the pics don't show is how bloody cold it is here - down to zero last night!! Shooting stuff is a lot of fun and there is a lot to shoot but I do miss not having a decent camera and tripod or even better, a decent photographer like you to work with!!

There's nothing quite like Black & White photography - especially with a subject like Paris. I'm very envious. - wish I was there. Keep up the good work Sid, I'm getting inspired to be a photographer again.

Theresa, thanks for visiting and commenting.
The Pharmacy sign is very real. It's over a functioning "pharmacie" somewhere in the Paris Opera district. It looks to me to be from around the 1920's or 30's era.

I'll keep an eye out for similar signs and if I find enough good ones, I'll dedicate to another post.

Sid, I usually follow J on twitter! Love the "pharmacy' sign you have posted here, is that an effect you have made or is it a falling down sign?

Cinema 4D. Bit of a steep learning curve for me but fortunately I have the time to experiment.

Ultimately, I think it would be great to create some large digital prints and exhibit!!

It would be neat if people looked at them and couldn't work out if they're real or not.

Peter, thanks for commenting. I'm sure that with a lot more work, I could convince people that these are photographs of real objects in a nice big white studio setting!

Some of these use just one large overhead softbox and others include a large softbox on the right and a rim light on the left. The hardest thing is actually getting believable and realistic shadows but I'm sure with your amazing lighting skills, you would be able to do it in minutes.
